Reason to Rejoice

Most of you are probably aware that our governor is in deep trouble (see this from MSNBC).  I actually heard Obama say yesterday that the people of Illinois are “saddened and sobered” by this news.  Actually, all the people I know are breathing a sigh of relief and saying, “It’s about time!” with a big smile on their face.  I would imagine that Blagojevich is the only one saddened and sobered because he actually got caught. I’m not sure how he got reelected in 2005 (other than the fact that he was running against Cruella DeVil).  My friend Tiffany, who lives just outside of Springfield and has nary a kind word to say about our hopefully-soon-to-be-FORMER-governor, said signs are popping up around town like the one above.  She also had this great political cartoon that illustrates some of the things that have become synonymous with the word Blagojevich.

I read in one article that Blagojevich had thought of possibly taking the vacant senate seat for himself to improve his chances for the Presidency in 2016.  If that doesn’t scare you, I don’t know what will!

  • I doubt that even he is saddened & sober – he’s too arrogant! Amen to this post – we’re VERY happy about getting rid of him!!

  • Tiffany Bowles says:

Hi Missy! It’s okay–you can borrow stuff from my blog anytime. Hopefully there will be a new gov. when I get back from UT. I am excited to see you guys in January!

  • OH LOVED IT and SOOOO glad he is almost gone. You are right, Obama get his words mixed up–like you I know nary a soul who is saddenned by our soon to be/hopefully lose!

  • Is there a leader we can get who has ethics, morals, and leadership ability?? Maybe we should all say a prayer, of thanksgiving and hope for future guidance…
